The above graph shows the reduction of fuel oil since the advent of the Biomass Facility. With the Biomass facility in place Green Mountain College will continue to be less dependent on fuel oil.

In 2009, the Student Campus Greening Fund approved $10,000 to pay for a thermal efficiency audit. The intent of the project was to identify areas for improvement and make a prioritized list of future projects to increase the thermal efficiency of campus buildings.

The audit was performed in the early months of 2011. The results are currently under review and will result in a plan for upgrades.
